Instead of Writing a Book

"Why don't you write a book?"

I get asked that a lot. But what would I write? I mean, I don't really have any answers for anyone. I try to
support people with Lyme Disease. I post questions for people with Lyme Disease on my Facebook wall. I plan Lyme awareness events. I have been blessed to be a part of some pretty amazing events. I have been blessed to meet a lot of very sick, and very supportive, loving people. I have also met some pretty crazy ones too. But, what would I write about?

I have not found the cure, I barely understand the science behind Lyme Disease, little less any of the co infections. I only know me, and my story.I don't even think Lyme Disease is the whole story behind us all being sick. I don't know how it would help anyone else in life for me to write a book. I don't know that my life is worthy of wasting someone else's time reading about it.

Look how many times I said the word, "I."  That makes me cringe. All day I talk to others about their journeys. Their pain, their struggles, their triumphs, their children, their families, their situations. I rarely ever sit back and think about my own. I mean, really think about it. I am more of a spontaneous, just live in the moment kind of person.

But something lately has been brewing inside of me. I mean besides spirochetes, parasites and viruses. An inner voice is yelling, "Hault! Time for a turn in the road!" This is taking me by surprise, sort of.. I mean I am very happy doing what I'm doing, it has been coming naturally to me for several years now. Nine years to be exact as of right now 2014. (That is when I got diagnosed and started activism.) I like getting on the computer everyday to talk to Lyme friends, to arrange Lyme awareness events, to organize anything and everything that has to do with Lyme. Yet, something it telling me...it's time to start living again.

What I decided to do, is to write a blog, where if someone is interested, they can read about me. Ugh, again, I cringe saying that. But if you are interested, here are the chapters of my life.
